I became a Health Coach because I want to help people become empowered in their health care. I believe that everyone has the capacity to improve their health and sense of well-being. Health Coaching helps you envision and realize your health goals.
I am currently the lead instructor for the Health Coach Certificate program at Emory Continuing Education (at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia). I am also an instructor in the Health Coach Certificate Program at Georgetown University's Center for Continuing Studies (Washington, DC) and I am a Mentor-Supervisor in the Integrative Health Coach Certification program at Arizona University's Center for Integrative Medicine (Tuscon, Arizona).
I create curriculum, advise on the development of health coach training programs and health coaching initiatives.
I also maintain a small health coach practice Through health coaching I meet you where you are, responding to your current needs and helping you formulate and achieve your vision of improved health. Having had to adapt to diabetes and other chronic health issues of my own, I understand how challenging it can be to visualize and achieve a healthier future. I believe that each of us has the ability and creativity to achieve our health goals. I will help you develop the momentum, support, and problem-solving skills you need to overcome challenges and remain focused on creating a healthier you. Meeting goals and achieving lifestyle changes is a creative process. My goal as a health coach ultimately is to work myself out of a job. I help my clients learn how to coach themselves; to set and achieve sustainable health goals that move them towards a healthier future. Because coaching can be done successfully by phone you do not need to be in the Atlanta area for me to be your coach
